MY CANADA

Jen will talk about a new province or territory every issue. 
Writer: Jen Serdetchnaia, 17, Newmarket, ON
Jen is a
Grade 12 student in Ontario. She moved to Canada from Belarus at the age of nine. "I have traveled in Europe, Canada and the United States, I have stayed in Québec City for the past two summers and spent four months earlier this year volunteering in a clinic in Ecuador. I feel very fortunate to enjoy the Canadian standard of life."

Something unique about Jen:
"I play the tuba and the trombone and I speak Russian, French and Spanish. I’d like to become a doctor."

Jen’s passions:
Reading, writing, traveling and volunteering.

Jen’s message:
"Never stop exploring outside of your comfort zone."
